My father-in-law has been talking about taking my boys fishing for years. I’ve always been terrified of the idea because I have a fear of water.
I’ve made sure my children have taken weeks and weeks of swimming lessons over the past few years but I’m still paralyzed with horror when I think of them being near large bodies of water. So I’ve never entertained any conversations about them going fishing.
But a few weeks ago, unbeknownst to me Mr. Incredible and Grandpa Incredible took the boys out to the lake and went fishing. They. had. a blast. They played with worms, ran around in dirt, and cast their fishing poles in the water.
No fish were caught during their outing because of Baby Jack Jack belting out the words to Michael Jackson’s Dirty Diana during the entire experience. I’m sure the fish were terrified.

I’m not a fan of fishing either. My daddy used to drag us out at o’dark thirty and I so disliked it. I fell in the lake once too trying to catch a fish.
This is wonderful. Collin had so much to tell me about the worms. I did not know that Mr. Grant was Grandpa Incredible. Funny.
