The Miracle of Creativity

MH900321177The miracle of creativity is that you can start with absolutely nothing and make something beautifully mind- blowing.

As a writer, it gives me such joy to start with a completely blank page.  Then letter after letter, word after word, I begin to create a story, develop characters. Give them history, life.

Even thought my first book, Under The Palmetto Tree, was only published a month ago, I’m five chapters deep into my next release. It is wonderful.

I’m so entrenched in these people I’ve created. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Writer’s have a scary sort of autonomy. They can do what they want…take a story where ever they want it to go.

A writer can kill off a popular character, give people magical powers and make anything happen in a subject’s life.

My imagination is a strange and wondrous place.

For the past two weeks I’ve spent every morning writing. Writing. Writing. Writing. This story is flowing out of me like water.

I’m not sure where it is coming from. But for now, writer’s block has no place in my life. I’m inspired. And that’s a great thing.
