Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh…. Well, not exactly. It’s definitely not snowing. And there are no horses pulling any sleighs around here. But I’m ready for the Christmas season!
This is my most favorite time of year. I love the chilly weather, holiday songs and the Christmas specials! Oh, the Christmas specials. I CANNOT wait for Mickey’s Christmas Carol to come on TV. And the Grinch! How I love the Grinch. He’s so ugly and mean, and….green.
We’ll be wrapping presents and sending cards and spreading joy all season long! I’m planning on baking cookies and making hot chocolate. I even have a brand new apron to wear in the kitchen.
Are you ready for Christmas? How are you preparing for the holidays?
Putting up the Christmas tree wasn’t as easy as I had hoped. Here’s how the day went….
Step 1: Listen to my kids yell at each other as they fought over who was going to remove the tree from the box.
Step 2: Search vigoroulsy for my son as he decides to play hide and seek with us- only to find he was hiding in the Chrismas tree box the entire time.
Step 3: Stop my 2 year old seconds before he pours glue all over the tree.
Step 4: Gaze in amazement at the final product and pray the kids don’t pull it down before Christmas day.
